Bag Tag Challenge 2008

The 2008 Bag Tag Challenge requires an additional $10 fee and will get you a numbered wooden bag tag. The tag is yours to keep, whether you participate in challenges or not. The official season of challenges will start with league May 7th, and end with league challenges can be issued anywhere anytime not just league nights but do report the results to me during the 20+ weeks of league.

The 2008 Bag Tags is a fundraising device for A3disc. Fundraising by A3 helps cover expenses for new disc golf courses, charity events, or special events.

Additionally there will be several Wednesday night league nights where we will be running $1.00 - $5.00 entry fee bag tag challenges with 100% payout. I am hoping to do 3-6 of these events or more if they can be handled and work well; it would also be nice if enough people show up to make the money more enticing. Some of the games will be head to head competition, handicapping, Possibly 2 player team challenges random draw. Other ideas announced later, and suggestions will be accepted.

*** You must have reported a minimum number of challenges to receive the awards. You will not be allowed to win #1 then hide from your peers and win the prizes. If you don't report challenges you will not be eligible for any prizes. Payouts will be based on all 70 bag tags selling. Handicaps are a good idea against lower skilled opponents.

On fairness, if a PRO holds #1 and an AM3 level player should challenge him he/she should give a handicap of X strokes the holder of the #1 tag gets to set the handicap. Fairness might be if the league average of JOE PRO has an average of 43 and the BOB AM has an average of 68 the handicap can range from 25 to some number between the averages, what ever you can work out that both players can accept.

Reporting to William Gilbert can be via E-mail, via the PDGA website, in person, or via phone (as a last resort) would be highly encouraged. Reports should contain date, time, course, names, bag tags #'s exchanged, etc.
